Tony Bellew teased wrestling fans when he appeared as a "special bell ringer" for a match at a WWE live event at the Echo Arena in Liverpool on Sunday night.

The reigning WBC cruiserweight champion and self-confessed WWE fan told Sky Sports News HQ he would be interested in appearing at a show in the future when he retires from professional boxing.

Bellew, who is currently recovering from a broken hand sustained during his victory over David Haye in their heavyweight domestic grudge match in March, singled out 14-time WWE world heavyweight champion Triple H as the man he would like to face.

"Tony would like to slap Triple H's backside," Bellew told Sky Sports News HQ.

"I like the sound of that, or doing a 'Stone Cold' stunner on Triple H, he was a phenomenal wrestler in his day, so I wouldn't mind a little go at that."

Sky Sports News HQ, as well as Sky Sports online and social media accounts, will be live at London's O2 in the build-up to RAW and Smackdown.
