Matt Hardy has not always been the bizarre character which was involved in a war of words with Bray Wyatt on this week's Monday Night Raw.
In fact, for the majority of his career he has been a fairly regular guy, albeit one with a penchant for jumping off tall things with a complete disregard for his own personal safety.
Everything changed this week, however, in the form of a three-minute video promo battle with the Eater of Worlds - or, as he was dubbed by Hardy, the "consumer of terrestrial entities" - which has generated some serious buzz in the wrestling community.
Hardy's transformation into "Woken" Matt has taken WWE and its fans by storm and many are intrigued as to what will happen next in the saga between Raw's two strangest men.
But it hasn't always been like this, and 11 years ago this week he was competing in Raw in very different circumstances.
