Sky Academy Sports Scholarships: Olivia Breen blogs as her season starts to take shape

Hello everyone. I've had another good week of training and am now getting ready for the Bedford International Games at the weekend where I am competing in the 100 metres and the long jump.
It's the final opportunity before the Commonwealth Games selection which takes place on the evening of the 1 June so I am hoping to better my long jump PB to help my selection chances.
Last week I was very excited to be asked to compete at the Sainsbury’s Anniversary Games on 20 July in the 100m.
It should be a great experience at the amazing venue of Horseguards Parade and I can't wait - it will be a busy July!
I was also delighted to receive a box full of Adidas kit to use this season for competition and training.
This week I’m off college for half term, I had a good weekend in Cardiff, where my grandparents live, and enjoyed training at the NIAC at the Cardiff Metropolitan University.
I love going to Wales and seeing my family there.
