Chris Eubank Jr was spot on the middleweight limit for Saturday's clash with Tony Jeter in Sheffield.
The Brighton figher (19-1-KO14) outweighed his American opponent (20-4-1-KO14) ahead of his Sky Sports debut, tipping the scales at 11st 6lbs to the delight of his onlooking father Chris Eubank Sr, who whooped and cheered with delight.
A steely stare-off followed with the visitor, who weighed in at 11st 5lb 6oz, in no hurry to step aside - and Eubank Jr admitted the bout will be no cake-walk.
He told Sky Sports: "He looks ready but I've been training my whole life for this opportunity to fight on Sky Sports. I'm ready to go into beast mode.
"It's what being in the gym seven days a week for months does to you. It turns you into an animal. A machine. This guy unfortunately has to get in the ring and taste the punishment that's coming to him.
"I train 100% all the time, even when I haven't got a fight coming up. Each fight is as important as the next and we are looking to progress and be the best we can be. I know more about myself as a fighter and an athlete."
Saturday's fight marks the addition of trainer Adam Booth to Team Eubank and Junior believes the transition will be seamless.
"The corner is going to be run mechanically and everything is going to be on point," he said. "There'll be no mix-ups or people shouting at the same time. You guys will see that it's going to work very smoothly.
"We've got old school training techniques and methods from my father and Ronnie Davis and now the new school of Adam Booth. It's exciting to see what they can come up with.
"It's my first fight in eight months and I've got to go in with a bang. This guy is in serious trouble - that's all I can say."
Eubank Sr's bold assessment of his son's ability has drawn scorn from inside and outside the fight game but the former world champion's enthusiasm is undiminished.
"He does things and is doing things that I'm seeing in the gym that are incredible," he said. "I'm so excited that I've spoken too quickly before everyone has seen it, so I'm getting a lot of criticism that I shouldn't be pushing him so hard.
"I'm only speaking about what I've seen in the gym. It's magnificent stuff so if we can get a bit of that on the screen tomorrow night, it'll be a wonderful thing and will exonerate me!"
Preparing to fight on the same bill is European super-bantamweight champion Gavin McDonnell, who weighed in at 8st 9lb 1oz with challenger Jeremy Parodi six ounces heavier at 8st 9lb 7oz.
