Dillian Whyte opens door to David Haye fight after ridiculing his return to the ring

Dillian Whyte has challenged David Haye to a domestic clash after claiming his south London rival defeated a “sausage” in his comeback fight.
Haye (27-2-KO25) ended a three-and-a-half year sabbatical from the ring by knocking out Australia's Mark de Mori within one round last weekend at the O2 Arena to emphatically announce his return to the heavyweight scene.
But Whyte (16-1-KO13), who most recently impressed for his toughness in an unsuccessful effort against Anthony Joshua last month, insists that Haye's win was merely a formality.
"A sausage is good for two things: cooking and eating. That's what De Mori was," Whyte exclusively told Sky Sports.
"He would have got a good payday because he's fighting Haye, he was probably scared before he got in the ring. He showed symptoms in the fight that he was scared.
"He threw two or three punches in the fight because he was scared, and David just took him out.
"The guy [Haye] fought was absolute rubbish. I was meant to fight De Mori early last year and he didn't want to fight."
Brixton's Whyte insisted that he didn't see any new skills in the comeback of Bermondsey's Haye that could carry the former WBA heavyweight back to the pinnacle of the division.
Whyte, 27, believes that he could eventually share a ring with his 35-year-old rival but wants to ease his way back into boxing after recuperating from a shoulder injury.
He said: "David does what he normally does. He looked a bit slow and that could be because he's been out for three-and-a-half years. So let's see how he looks in his next fight.
"David never showed anything that we haven't seen before.
"I'll be happy to fight anyone - I just want to have a few warm-up fights."
