Carl Frampton vs Scott Quigg: They can earn a big fight in America, says Wayne McCullough

Wayne McCullough believes Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg can make their name in America if they win Saturday's world title unification clash.
Frampton and Quigg will put their super-bantamweight belts and unbeaten records at risk when they finally meet at the Manchester Arena, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
The long-awaited fight is going to be shown on American television and McCullough, who based much of his career in the US, believes the winner has a perfect opportunity to boost their reputation.
Frampton endured a difficult US debut, overcoming two first-round knockdowns to defeat Alejandro Gonzalez Jr on points, but McCullough feels his fellow Belfast man or Quigg can stake their claim for a big-name fight in America.
"They can because we're going to get to see it on Showtime over here in the afternoon," McCullough told Sky Sports. "People saw Carl Frampton's last fight and it was a bit of an anti-climax.
"You expected excitement and then all of a sudden he gets dropped and comes back and wins. It was not the type of fight he wanted to come to America with.
"But this fight, people are watching, and hopefully a lot of people will tune into it."
Californian Leo Santa Cruz has expressed his desire to face the winner of Frampton-Quigg, while classy Cuban Guillermo Rigondeaux has also demanded a fight with the victorious champion.
McCullough fought the likes of Naseem Hamed and Erik Morales and believes a bumper US fight is the 'icing on the cake' for any fighter.
"It's every fighter's dream," said the former WBC bantamweight champion. "I came to America for a different reason - my coach Eddie Futch was American and that is the reason why I came.
"But you get that big fight in America - it's the icing on the cake. The worldwide attention is on you at that time.
"I think both these guys will see a mouthwatering clash with Leo Santa Cruz. He's fighting Kiko Martinez the same day, so the winner will want that fight or the Rigondeaux fight for sure."
