Adrien Broner plays down feud with Floyd Mayweather

Adrien Broner insists there are no issues between him and Floyd Mayweather and says he is just "having fun" with his remarks about the former world champion.
Broner will fight British challenger Ashley Theophane, who is promoted by Mayweather and with whom he once sparred, for the WBA title in Washington DC on Friday night.
The 26-year-old Broner has regularly spoken of his admiration for Mayweather, describing him as a role model and comparing him to a "big brother" but he has also criticised his promotion, 'The Money Team', comments which prompted a fierce response from the now-retired fighter.
However, Broner has played down the public disagreement and says he is close to Mayweather.
"There's no beef between me and Floyd," he said. "I do my thing. At the end of the day, I'm just being me. I do this in front of Floyd. Me up there saying 'Hateweather Promotions,' I'm just having fun. I hope no one takes it personally. At the end of the day, me and Floyd are close.
"The relationship that me and Floyd have, it is obvious that we wear our feelings on our sleeves, anything we say about each other, we don't care who hears it. At the end of the day it doesn't affect anything."
Regarding the Theophane fight, he said: "Anything is tough when you have a lot of things coming your way. I have tunnel vision. It's fight time. I'm locked-in until I get the job done.
"Right now I have to focus on this fight. I'm keeping my mind in the right state. I'm not just doing this for me. It's for my family. It's bigger than just me."
