Rocky Fielding will be keen to banish his Echo Arena ghosts when he faces the durable Christopher Rebrasse on Saturday night.

In his last fight, the Liverpool super-middleweight was blasted out inside a round by Callum Smith - who headlines the Sky Sports 1 show - but Fielding (21-1-KO12) is hoping to start climbing the mountain again when he takes on France's Rebrasse (24-4-3-KO6).

The 30-year-old visitor is a former European champion and provided stern tests for both Smith and three-time world title challenger George Groves in the past - taking both men the distance.

Fielding said: "I got back straight away saying yes [to this fight]. I know he's been in with Callum and George and gave them good fights. I've trained hard and I know he's a good fighter.

"I've had good sparring with the lads in the gym. It's been hard but I'm looking forward to it now, putting in what I've learned in this camp on Saturday.

I've watched bits of Rebrasse and left the rest to Oliver Harrison, who's been working on a good game plan in the gym.

"I've watched bits of Rebrasse and left the rest to Oliver Harrison, who's been working on a good game plan in the gym. I trust him and I'll do it."

Rebrasse added through his interpreter: "I had a good preparation for this and I only want to take the belt [the WBC international title] with me back to France. I've had two losses here and I don't want a third."
