Shannon Briggs tried to engineer a face-to-face encounter with David Haye at the Frampton-Santa Cruz fight

Former WBO heavyweight world champion Shannon Briggs continued his war of words with David Haye in Brooklyn on Saturday night.

The pair were at the Barclays Center to watch Carl Frampton's win over Leo Santa Cruz.

Brooklyn native Briggs spotted Haye making his way to his ringside seat for the fight and immediately took off in pursuit, shouting "what's up David?".

Haye appeared to glance in Briggs' direction but made no move to stop, prompting a bemused Briggs to exclaim, "he running" after his progress was halted by ringside security staff.

Briggs later posted video on Instagram with the following caption: "Wherever you go I go #LETSGOCHAMP #LETSGOCHAMP #LETSGOCHAMP He ran from me it's official HE'S SOFTEE THE PIE MAN #VAMOSCAMPEON".

A fight has been brewing between the pair since they appeared on the same show in May at The O2 Arena in London.

Both won their fights easily, against much weaker opponents. Haye stopped Arnold Gjergjaj inside two rounds while Briggs was equally impressive as he knocked out Emilio Ezequiel Zarate in round one.
