Canelo Alvarez and Liam Smith both weighed in at 154lbs ahead of Saturday's light-middleweight title in Dallas.
The duo will square off at AT&T Stadium with Smith's WBO junior middleweight title belt on the line.
However, the man from Liverpool will be a huge underdog against his Mexican opponent, who is rated one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world.
The 26-year-old knocked out Amir Khan in his last fight but Smith is confident that he can cause an upset.
"I always thought he would make the weight but you shouldn't be applauded for doing that," said Smith. "It's what he's supposed to do.
"If he was struggling to make the weight, I will bring it out of him.
"The last time he was under 154 lbs he was dead on his feet, even if it was against one of the best ever in Floyd Mayweather.
"If I win this fight I will be the best light-middleweight in the world and that's where I want to be."
Alvarez added: "He's a strong fighter, throws combinations and likes to engage.
"I like opponents like that and guarantee the crowd a great night."
