George Groves to face Fedor Chudinov for WBA 'super' super-middleweight belt

George Groves will get a fourth opportunity to become a world champion when he challenges WBA holder Fedor Chudinov in the UK.
The Londoner (25-3) twice came up short in world title fights against Carl Froch before failing to take Badou Jack's prize, but will now vie for the WBA 'super' super-middleweight belt.
The announcement was made by Sauerland, Groves' promoters, via social media. The date and venue is yet to be confirmed.
Winning the WBA 'super' title would potentially set up a blockbuster unification fight against old rival James DeGale, the IBF champion.
"I'd like to fight George Groves again," DeGale said last month, after losing their first fight in 2011.
"The Groves fight is always there, although me winning the world title, while he has failed three times to do that, kills him."
Groves has strung together four consecutive wins since losing to WBC champion Jack in Las Vegas, while upcoming opponent Chudinov lost his most recent fight to Felix Sturm, who then failed a drugs test.
