Dean Francis shares his inspirational story with Adam and Johnny as he battles terminal cancer

Adam Smith and Johnny Nelson joined former British and European champion Dean Francis to discuss his brave battle against cancer.

Big names in boxing have rallied around the inspirational 43-year-old after he was diagnosed with terminal cancer and he received support from Joe Calzaghe, Lee Selby and Lee Haskins ahead of a benefit night this Saturday.

Francis won titles at super-middleweight, light-heavyweight and cruiserweight during his ring career, and told Adam and Johnny how he is viewing the disease as another opponent.

"It's like a fight," he told Sky Sports. "In the red corner, cancer, and he's not going to beat me."

Ricky Hatton and James DeGale have also given their backing to Francis as he attempts to raise enough money for further treatment.

"This is my world title fight, because it's bringing everyone together," he said. "I feel like I'm fighting again, I am fighting again, but in a different way."
