Savannah Marshall opens up about Floyd Mayweather's backing and being on the undercard of the world's richest fight in Las Vegas.
Marshall makes her professional debut on Saturday night against Sydney LeBlanc in the super-middleweight division having recently finished a four-year spell as a Sky Sports Scholar.
The 26-year-old from Hartlepool, who admitted she almost quit boxing earlier this year, joined Floyd Mayweather's stable of fighters and is now preparing for the biggest night of her life.
As her new promoter gets ready to take on MMA star Conor McGregor, Marshall told SSN: "It's just amazing. I'm just bothered about the hotel! Everyone's wearing McGregor T-shirts and I'm thinking I'm actually on that bill!
"I'm just focused and trying to achieve a win and at the same time looking good doing it!"
Marshall is no stranger to glory in the ring having become world champion in 2012 and then winning gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games.
She will begin a new chapter in her career against the 33-year-old American who has won four of her seven pro fights, including taking world champion Claressa Shields the full eight rounds in a WBC silver title fight in May.
On her weekend opponent, Marshall added: "LeBlanc recently boxed for a WBC belt and she's only lost three fights. She's decent, she won't be pushover and it will not be an easy fight."
On linking up with Mayweather, Marshall said: "He seems really nice and he's been very supportive and really genuine."
