Eddie Hearn will sit down with Tony Bellew to discuss a proposed rematch with David Haye, but admits it is the fight the British public wants to see

Eddie Hearn is hoping the rematch between Tony Bellew and David Haye will be confirmed next week.

The promoter was responding to Haye revealing that "teams have finally agreed ALL terms" for the bitter foes to fight again, following their March showdown.

Haye did not say when or where the rematch will take place, but Hearn admits he will speak to 'Bomber' in the next few days to finalise his side of the agreement.

Nothing is signed yet but I'm catching up with Tony later this week and you can cross your fingers for an announcement in the next week or so.

"It's taken a long time to get this rematch even discussed and now there is a real possibility it could be next," he exclusively told Sky Sports.

Bellew says his next fight could be a rematch with Haye, but it's unlikely he'll fight WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder this year

Haye, who picked up a serious Achilles injury before being pulled out in the 11th round of their first fight, has since switched trainers, leaving Shane McGuigan to team up with Ismael Salas, who also trains three-weight world champion Jorge Linares.
