The winner of Anthony Joshua and Joseph Parker's heavyweight unification fight will begin their journey into the history books, says Johnny Nelson.
Joshua has the WBA 'super' and IBF, while Parker brings the WBO belt with him and even though they have become national icons, Nelson says their Wales showdown will be the first step towards cementing their legacies.
"Two undefeated champions are going to put their belts together to sort it all out and see who is king of the hill," he told Sky Sports News.
"Right now Anthony Joshua has to be the most famous heavyweight in the world, so he wants to say 'you know what, let me get all these belts together so there is no misunderstanding, no mistake, I am the king of the hill'.
"Joseph Parker has played this well, by saying 'you need me as much as I need you'. He wants to take over from Anthony Joshua. He wants to be king of the hill as well.
"These two putting their titles together is the most important thing, because now the winner will know they can etch their name in history. They are going to be the ones to say 'this hasn't been done before' when it comes to being the undisputed world champion."
