Kid Galahad will go down the mandatory route with the IBF to force a fight with newly-crowned champion Josh Warrington.
The unbeaten Sheffield featherweight is currently the IBF's highest ranked challenger, at No. 3, following Warrington's gutsy win over Lee Selby on Saturday, and will likely be ordered to take part in an eliminator contest.
Galahad, who was impressed with his fellow Yorkshireman's hometown triumph, intends to go down the same route as Warrington did previously and set up a mandated world title domestic showdown.
"Warrington did what he had to do, he boxed out of his skin and got it spot on," Galahad exclusively told Sky Sports, "I think he will be a good champion.
"Selby may have underestimated him and he had weight issues. Warrington's style isn't the best and he looks like he can't even crack an egg, but it's effective, it works for him.
"I do personally believe I have the style to beat him, of course, and I would do it in good fashion. It would be a great fight.
Once I'm in position, there's nowhere to run and he has to fight me. I want him to know that I'm coming to gate-crash his party.
"However, I know he doesn't want to fight me so I hope he doesn't vacate the IBF title and look to go down another route."
The IBF's ruling states that 'each champion must mandatorily defend their title within 9 months of its acquisition.'
Galahad is confident he will be Warrington's next mandatory challenger and hopes to firstly have a few "solid" tests before a shot at world glory.
"This is the only path I'm thinking about going down. I have to force the fight because no one wants to face someone like me, I can do everything and am very hard to beat.
"I want to get on Kell Brook's next bill and, hopefully, Eddie Hearn can make things happen and get me a final eliminator opportunity.
"I want a few more solid fights this year and then Warrington has to fight me within nine months.
"Once I'm in position, there is nowhere to run and he has to fight me.
They're trying to build Warrington in Leeds and get him a unification down the line, but I want him to know that I'm coming to gate-crash his party."
