Kell Brook and Frankie Gavin both made weight for Saturday’s world title clash at The O2 in London.

The Sheffield fighter makes the second defence of his IBF welterweight title against Gavin, live on Sky Sports Box Office, and the British rivals looked in peak condition on the scales.

Brook came in at 10st 6lbs 4oz, with Gavin marginally heavier at 10st 6lbs 9oz.

Both men have maintained a mutual respect throughout the build-up but appeared to share a few harsh words while they posed for the customary face-off.

A packed card in the capital features two other world title fights and there were a few raised eyebrows when Jorge Linares originally failed to make weight for his WBC lightweight defence against Kevin Mitchell.

The Venezuelan champion, an experienced fighter at world level, was four ounces over the 9st 9lb limit but was back soon after to come in at 9st 8lb 1oz - well inside the limit.

There were no such problems for Mitchell, who tipped the scales at 9st 8lbs and confidently acknowledged his fans.

Olympic hero Anthony Joshua kept his cool when he again came face to face with brash American Kevin Johnson ahead of their heavyweight contest over 10 rounds.

Joshua looked typically chiselled at 17st 10lbs 8oz, with Johnson coming in at 16st 1lbs 5oz.

The Atlanta boxer, who has never been stopped, tried to rile Joshua this week with constant jibes and he put his hand on the 25-year-old's heart as they engaged in a lengthy staredown.

Lee Selby challenges IBF featherweight king Evgeny Gradovich this weekend and both fighters successful made the weight.

The Welshman was comfortably inside the limit at 8st 13lbs 3oz, but Gradovich was bang on the featherweight mark of 9st.

But tensions nearly boiled over between the two camps as Selby's trainer Chris Sanigar became embroiled in a shoving match with one of Gradovich's team.
