My eighth straight win over Michael Faulk was another step on the ladder for me. It was a good performance and I was happy to get in there and get him out of the way nice and early. It's all about moving on now, stepping up the level of opponent, maybe even stepping up the number of rounds as well in the next fight.

I have gained a bit of a Mexican nickname. They are starting to call me 'El Animal'. They have been calling me that in the gym and on the television because of the way I have been going through opponents.

Personally I would like to think that I'm an animal that stalks his prey and then goes in to finish them off. I look for the weaknesses and where I can exploit them. That is the sort of animal that I want to be known as.

I met Scott Quigg again after the win over Faulk. He's an absolute gentleman and a great champion. I was walking out of the ring and he was one of the first people to congratulate me and say hello. I took a good 15 minutes to sit and talk with him. I haven't seen him since we both appeared on Sky Sports a while ago, so it was good to have a catch-up.

We all want to see Quigg face Carl Frampton in the near future. I think everybody behind the scenes should just step aside and let things happen.

We all want to see Quigg face Carl Frampton in the near future. I think everybody behind the scenes should just step aside and let things happen. Both of them want the fight. Let the best fight the best and give the people what they want to see. Boxing is about matching up the best athletes and Frampton-Quigg is an ideal fight. It's going to be an exciting, close bout and people will pay to see it, so why not get it going.

I'm having a bit of downtime back at home in Ireland, but I'll be back in Los Angeles later this month and it will be full steam ahead as hopefully I'll be back in the ring in October or November. Saul Alvarez's huge fight with Miguel Cotto is coming up in November and I'll try to have a word with Oscar De La Hoya about getting me on the undercard in Las Vegas!

It's such an amazing event and it would be an absolute pleasure to be on the same bill - just to see the build-up, hype and everything. That is the dream to be on these big cards and then to top a big card one day in the future.
