Adam Smith and Johnny Nelson take part in the draw for Prizefigher: The Lightweights.

Prizefighter favourite Gary Buckland has been handed a tough quarter-final clash against the dangerous Floyd Moore.

The Welshman, a former Prizefighter champion in 2010, will have to get past the Fareham man if he wants to win the trophy for a second time at York Hall this Saturday night, live on Sky Sports.

Moore has picked up 10 wins, with seven inside the distance, and the draw has set up a potentially explosive clash with Buckland, who has been involved in a string of exciting battles.

In an intriguing twist, Michael Devine was granted a swift return bout against Danny Connor after their previous clash was brought to a premature halt in September

A cut above Connor’s eye forced the fight to end in a draw, but the pair will settle their unfinished business on the Prizefighter bill.

Stephen Foster Jr will be hoping that his vast experience will count against Jono Carroll, who heads into the tournament with an unblemished three-fight record.

In the opening quarter-final, Morden’s Craig Whyatt will take on Essex man Lee Martin, with both fighters hoping to make their name in the tournament after only a handful of professional fights.

Foster Jnr, who won the European title in 2010, is relishing the fresh challenge of the four-round format.

“Some will get lucky, some won’t, but I’m just excited by it,” the Salford man told Sky Sports News HQ.

“I’m looking forward to it, it’s something new that I haven’t done before.

“A fight is a fight, I’ll fight anybody. It’s going to be explosive and I’m in it to win it.”

Quarter final draw:

Craig Whyatt v Lee Martin

Michael Devine v Danny Connor

Stephen Foster Jnr v Jono Carroll

Gary Buckland v Floyd Moore
