WBO middleweight champion Andy Lee has weighed in slightly lighter than challenger Billy Joe Saunders ahead of Saturday's world title fight in Manchester.

Lee, 31, who holds a record of 34-2-1-KO24, draped himself in the Irish flag as the two went head to head at Friday's weigh-in.

Saunders, who enters the bout with an unbeaten record of 22-0-KO12, tipped the scales on the middleweight limit at 11 stone 6 pounds while Lee weighed in four ounces lighter at 11 stone 5 pounds and 12 ounces. The pair then faced off for the cameras before shaking hands.

The fight, which has already been postponed twice, is due to take place at the Manchester Arena.

On the undercard, Liam Smith and Jimmy Kelly both successfully made weight ahead of their WBO super-welterweight world title clash.

Kelly weighed in at exactly 11 stone, the limit for light-middleweight, whilst Smith weighed in one pound lighter at 10 stone 13 pounds.

Smith, who fights under the tutelage of Bolton-based trainer Joe Gallagher, enters the bout with an unbeaten record of 21-0-1-11KO. Kelly is also unbeaten with a record of 16-0-KO7.

Saturday's fight is Smith's first title defence since taking the belt against American John Thompson with a seventh round stoppage in October.
