Mitchell talks to Sky Sports News HQ

Kevin Mitchell (1/3 with Sky Bet) v Daniel Estrada (9/4)

Live Fight Night

Kevin Mitchell approaches his fourth world championship run, by his own admission, a more level-headed and mature individual finally ready to exploit the talents that have never been in doubt. But before he can progress to challenge WBC lightweight champion Jorge Linares he must get past Daniel Estrada on Saturday night, a rugged veteran fighting for the first time outside of Mexico or the United States.

Mitchell last fought in May at Wembley, coming from behind to stop Ghislain Maduma, but may need an even better performance to outlast Estrada in this title eliminator. The Mexican visitor will bring the legendary Juan Manuel Marquez as his corner-man but Mitchell, the popular Romford puncher, will be backed by a raucous O2 Arena crowd.

John Ryder

John Ryder (1/10) v Billy Godoy (6/1)

Islington fighter Ryder defends his WBO Inter-Continental middleweight title as he aims to ascend the rankings and fight for Andy Lee’s world title.

But Ryder has had barely a week to prepare for Godoy, a last-gasp arrival from Argentina who replaced the injured Les Sherrington. Ryder, who like Mitchell must vanquish a Latin competitor before contesting a world title, believes Godoy’s call-up makes the bout more exciting.

John Wayne Hibbert (L) and Tyler Goodjohn

John Wayne Hibbert (4/5) v Tyler Goodjohn (1/1)

Hibbert makes the first defence of his WBC International light-welterweight title in the same arena that he won the belt in October. The Essex man bested Leonardo Esteban Gonzalez for the belt but puts it on the line against Cambridgeshire’s Goodjohn, who defeated Ricky Boylan on the same night as Hibbert’s title win.

Goodjohn vacated the English title that he beat Boylan to for a chance at Hibbert’s prize – they are also battling for a crack at the British title.

Ricky Boylan (R) and Tommy Martin come face to face during a press conference on December 3, 2014 in London, England

Tommy Martin (10/11) v Ricky Boylan (10/11)

Boylan aims to take out the frustration of losing his undefeated record to Goodjohn on his friend Martin. Boylan is afforded a second attempt at the English title this weekend, having lost out to Goodjohn before the belt was vacated again.

Surrey boxer Boylan, trained by Sky Sports' Jamie Moore, is significantly more experienced than his 20-year-old foe but enters Saturday’s bout knowing a second straight defeat severely stalls his career. The undefeated Martin could make his first serious statement in his 11th pro bout.
