The Paffen gloves have not yet been checked by Fury or his team, but have reached the Dusseldorf location ahead of Friday's weigh-in and rules meeting.

The issue had taken centre stage during Tuesday's press conference when it emerged Fury found the original choice of gloves too painful to wear.

Fury's advisor Asif Vali told Sky Sports News HQ: "We'll be looking at the gloves at the rules meeting which is after the weigh-in.

Tyson will be there, he will try the gloves on to make sure they are the same gloves that he has given authority to use. Hopefully, fingers crossed, we're over the gloves saga."

"These are the games that happen. The gloves situation has blown up, and he has to be 500 percent satisfied. If he's not right in those gloves then he won't be right on the night. It will cause him damage and he won't win the fight."
