The Sky Sports Box Office showdown between Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg will also be shown live in America.

The super-bantamweight unification fight will be shown on big-time boxing channel Showtime, on February 27.

It will not be first time American TV has screened one of our fights but with one of the sport's biggest names joining forces to broadcast the bout, it proves Frampton and Quigg can establish themselves on the world scene.

Frampton (21-0-KO14) had his last fight - the win over Alejandro Gonzalez Jr that saw 'The Jackal' put down twice in the first round - out in Texas and cannot wait to be back on American screens.

"I am thrilled to be boxing on Showtime and defending my world title in front of such a large television audience in the US," he said.

"Showtime is the home of huge global boxing events and I am delighted that my team have ensured I will box on such a terrific platform.

It all got very feisty when Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg went head to head at the Belfast press conference!

"I enjoyed fighting on sister network CBS last July and I want to continue to build my fan base in the United States. Roll on February 27 in Manchester, where I will comprehensively beat Scott Quigg."

Quigg (31-0-2-KO23) has never boxed in the States but is a regular visitor to the west coast, sparring at the famous Wild Card Gym.

The winner could well end up fighting Cuban super-bantamweight star Guillermo Rigondeux, a man the boy from Bury has called out before.

And with the Manchester Arena showdown sold-out already, Quigg is ready to stamp his name on the world scene.

"It's brilliant that the American fans will get to see this brilliant fight," he said.

"I've always wanted to box in a massive fight in the US, and I believe that when I beat Carl in style on February 27 in front of a sold-out crowd live on Showtime I'll gain plenty of fans in the States."
