Monday 4 April 2016 16:45, UK
New IBF champion Charles Martin reveals his bad habits, a dream fight venue, and his desire to meet British royalty.
The 29-year-old American will be in the spotlight this Saturday night when he makes the first defence of his IBF title against Anthony Joshua, live on Sky Sports Box Office.
But we wanted to know more about the man known as 'Prince Charles'...
Who would be your dream opponent?
I would like to have shared the ring with George Foreman, to feel his power. I want to feel what everybody else is feeling. I would love to share it with George.
What would you be, if you weren't a boxer?
I was actually going to get into the Marines but boxing presented itself before the army did.
What is your worst habit?
Taking my clothes off and throwing them in a pile. I've got piles of clothes everywhere. Anywhere, I just throw them.
What would be your ideal fight venue?
On a boat or something, like a ship. One of those aircraft carriers and I'll be fighting on the top, where the airplanes take off. That would be dope. With a crowd as the ring.
What is your favourite music?
My genre is so wide. I listen to a lot of different music. Everybody has got one good song at least that I can say, 'That's a dope song'. Anybody that ever made a record or artist has at least one song that I like.
How do you spend your time away from boxing?
With my kids. I just stay local, stay with my kids, and eat good food. I'm a real eater, so I like to try new foods.
What is your favourite food?
Ox tails. It's the bull tail. They chop the tail - it's really good.
Who is your ideal woman?
A lot of the ones I like aren't even celebrities. It couldn't be like a celebrity crush or something. They just be real thick women who are twerking their booties. I follow them all on Instagram!
Do you want to meet the real Prince Charles on your trip to London?
That would be awesome. It would be a real honour, if I could actually meet Prince Charles.
How do you want to be remembered in boxing?
The greatest southpaw that ever lived. That ever put on a pair of gloves. The best heavyweight, the hardest hitting heavyweight southpaw ever.
