Emily Nelson claimed a silver medal for Great Britain in the women's omnium at the UCI Track World Cup in Cali, Colombia.
The 20-year-old overhauled Australia's Amy Cure in the points race to finish second behind Belgium's Lotte Kopecky.
Nelson started the last event 10 points adrift of Cure and earned 14 points to the Australian's two to clinch silver.
Kopecky's victory margin was 10 points, while Cure slipped to fourth as Italy's Rachele Barbieri took bronze on the final sprint.
Nelson entered the finale in third place having finished third in both the scratch and tempo races before taking fifth in the elimination event.
And her points race tally was matched only by Barbieri as she made sure of a British medal on the opening day of the meet.
