Phil Taylor set the previous record average on a Premier League night in Exeter

After Michael van Gerwen set the highest televised average, we look back at Phil Taylor’s previous record-breaking performance in the Premier League.

Van Gerwen ended with an average of 123.4 after a stunning 7-1 win over Michael Smith on night four of the Premier League. 

Taylor had previously held the record for almost four years as he recorded 117.35 during an 8-4 win over Simon Whitlock on a trip to Exeter in 2012.
