World Matchplay Darts day three: Michael van Gerwen in action on Monday

World No 1 Michael van Gerwen is in action on day three of the World Matchplay Darts as the action continues on Sky Sports Main Event on Monday night.

Action gets underway from 7pm at the famous Winter Gardens in Blackpool, with Mighty Mike facing Stephen Bunting in the third game of the evening as the first round heads towards its conclusion.

The evening's schedule kicks off with Simon Whitlock v Kyle Anderson before Adrian Lewis meets Steve Beaton. The action then concludes with Ian White v Rob Cross after Van Gerwen's match with Bunting.

Van Gerwen is kicking off the defence of a title he has won for the last two years, beating James Wade in the final in 2015 before defeating 15-time champion Phil Taylor last year.
