Then world No 3 Peter Wright will hope to have fully recovered from his elbow problems which occurred during his win against Mervyn King when he takes on Champions League of Darts winner Mensur Suljovic.

Thornton eliminated Dave Chisnall

Robert Thornton, the 2015 champion who is the only former champion left in the tournament, then takes on Daryl Gurney who has shown some inspired form with the Irish crowd fully backing him.
