Phil Taylor has already won the World Grand Prix on 11 occasions and will be seeking even more silverware in Dublin, live on Sky Sports.
'The Power' stands alone as the most successful champion in the tournament's history - eight of his title wins came in the first 10 years of the competition.
Taylor has also suffered three first-round exits, but his most dominant display came in his last final appearance in 2013, a 6-0 thrashing of Dave Chisnall.
The 55-year-old is yet to win a major title in 2015 and will be hoping to etch his name on the trophy one more time.
