Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright is ready for Premier League night four and admits has dreamed of a darts tournament that allows Scotland to field a three-player team also including Gary Anderson and Robert Thornton.

Premier League Darts heads to Aberdeen on Thursday, live on Sky Sports 1 HD at 7pm, and Wright features in the final match against fellow Scot Thornton.

Wright has accepted that Thornton's entrance song to famous Scottish band The Proclaimers could steal the fans' support but insists he would like to form a national darts trio.

Robert is playing in Scotland - that will bring out the pride and determination in him! I've got to play Gary in Glasgow in a few weeks!

He told Sky Sports: "We should have a trebles team! Instead of World Cup pairs, trebles would be brilliant. Definitely [we'd have good matches against the Netherlands].

"I'd have to say Robert [will get more fan support] because of his walk-on tune. But people enjoy my walk-ons as well.

"Robert is playing in Scotland - that will bring out the pride and determination in him! It will be one of the hardest games of the night. You wouldn't want to play him in Scotland. I've got to play Gary in Glasgow in a few weeks!"

Wright claims that watching his compatriots win major tournament inspires him to improve so he can keep pace with Scotland's top players.
