Trina Gulliver MBE wins opening match at the BDO championship

Trina Gulliver MBE began her charge for an 11th BDO championship with victory on Monday night.
Seventh seed Gulliver defeated Sweden's Vicky Pruim 2-1 at Lakeside to advance into the quarter-finals.
BDO veteran Darryl Fitton earned a tie against the top-ranked Glen Durrant after beating Gary Robson 3-0.
Andy Baetens beat Scott Baker 3-2 and Dean Reynolds beat Chris Harris 3-1 on the third day of the tournament.
The 2018 Premier League is the next major darting event on Sky Sports, running from February to May. Dublin's hugely popular 3Arena will open the 2018 season on Thursday, February 1 from 7pm on Sky Sports Action with the season concluding at the Play-Offs on May 17 at The O2 in London.
