World Cup of Darts: Phil Taylor, Adrian Lewis, Michael van Gerwen & Barney reunite

Dutch rivals reunite!

Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor and Adrian Lewis will aim to repeat their 2012 and 2013 glory as they lead England into battle for this year’s World Cup of Darts in Germany.

The Stoke duo, teaming together for the fourth time in their national colours, will aim to go one better than last year’s runners-up spot in Frankfurt, live on Sky Sports between 11-14 June.

Reigning champions Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld have again been confirmed as the Netherlands’ team and, as the only nation aside from England to taste World Cup success, will target back-to-back honours.

Scotland will also pack a punch this year, boasting Premier League and World Championship winner Gary Anderson alongside Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright. Wales compete with Mark Webster and Jamie Lewis, while the Republic of Ireland pick Connie Finnan and William O’Connor. Brendan Dolan and Mickey Mansell play for Northern Ireland.

We reflect on a dramatic PDC World Cup of Darts final between England and Australia in 2012

There will be a significant threat from Down Under as Simon Whitlock and Paul Nicholson, who were runners-up to England in a thrilling 2012 final, represent Australia.

The Huybrechts brothers will play for Belgium while the host nation have Jyhan Artut and Max Hopp in their ranks.

And don’t miss Sky Sports’ own John Part playing for Canada!
