Will Stevens makes his full F1 debut with Manor Marussia this season after a one-off drive with Caterham at the end of 2014.
The Englishman secured the drive after Caterham, who had entered administration, used crowdfunding to raise money for a return to the grid in Abu Dhabi.
Sadly, it remained a one-off. However Manor, who as Marussia had themselves appeared on the verge of extinction, secured new backing to allow Stevens (who served as a reserve last year) promotion to a race seat.
Aged 23 and from Essex, Stevens started karting in 2003. Graduating to Formula Renault 2.0 in 2008, he went on to spend three seasons in Formula Renault 3.5 and finished sixth overall last year with two wins.
