Toro Rosso's Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz unveil their 2016 Formula One car at pre-season testing in Barcelona.

Toro Rosso have formally launched their 2016 car and livery in the Barcelona pit lane ahead of the second and final winter test.

The Red Bull junior team did run their new STR11 car for the first time at last week's opening test at the Circuit de Catalunya but it was decked out in an interim all-navy colour scheme.

Toro Rosso only secured a deal to run year-old Ferrari engines for the season in early December and the wait contributed to the delays in completing their 2016 livery.

Young drivers Max Verstappen and Carlos Sainz have been retained after impressive rookie campaigns and were on hand to pull the wraps off the completed STR11.

"We are proud of this car and what it represents in terms of the work that went into designing and building it in record time in our new facility in Faenza," said team boss Franz Tost.

"And I am particularly pleased that 2016 sees a return to Ferrari power, with everyone looking forward to working once again with our friends from Maranello.

"In Formula 1, the stars are the drivers and I am keen to see what our two very talented youngsters, Max and Carlos can achieve this year, as they are now in their second season."

Toro Rosso's new car completed the second-highest mileage behind Mercedes' W07 last week with the team's return to Ferrari engines after two seasons with Renault appearing not to produce any early teething problems.

Although fellow Ferrari customers Sauber and newcomers Haas will run the Scuderia's 2016 engine this year, Toro Rosso believe last year's end-of-season unit still will still be a step ahead of Renault and mean they can improve on seventh place in the Constructors' Championship.
