Serbian outfit acquire Toyota infrastructure

Stefan Grand Prix have taken another major forward towards securing an entry into Formula One. Zoran Stefanovic, the man behind the Serbian outfit, has signed an agreement with Toyota Motorsport that will see them benefit from the Japanese manufacturer's technical knowhow. "Stefan GP has just come to a basic agreement with Toyota Motorsport GmbH (TMG) that Stefan GP will receive technical supports from TMG," a statement from the team read. "Further details will be released to the press in due course." With Toyota having withdrawn from F1 at the end of last season, the team will also take over their former base in Cologne. Stefan GP still have hopes of entering the 2010 World Championship and insist they are ready to unveil their team in time for the season opener in Bahrain on March 14. Their chances depend on either one of the current 13 teams dropping out or, in the longer term, agreement being reached for another team to be added.
