World champion to test in Valencia
Jenson Button has announced that he will make his McLaren driving debut on February 3 when he puts the new MP4-25 through its paces at Valencia.
With McLaren unveiling their 2010 challenger days before the start of pre-season testing, the team will have the car in action when they head to Valencia for the first test.
However, it's test driver Pedro de la Rosa who will have the honour of first putting the car through its paces before handing over to Lewis Hamilton for the second day.
Hamilton, though, will have just one day behind the wheel before he hands over to 2009 champion and new McLaren driver, Button.
"I am testing on February 3," Button told
Autosport at the International Show on Sunday. "The first day is Pedro, then Lewis, and myself on the third day.
"I am looking forward to it. It's going to be the strangest day because it's going to be one of the most important days in F1 in 2010, when we see where people stand, which cars are quick and which are competitive."
