German insists that he will honour contract
Timo Glock has said that he intends to remain with Virgin Racing for the long haul and will not quit because of the team's current struggles.
Despite Virgin's stated pre-season aim of making the second session of qualifying in 2011, the newcomers have so far remained steadfastly at the back of the grid.
Rumours have circulated before that the former Jordan and Toyota driver is not happy with the rate of progress with the South Yorkshire-based team, one of three to join the grid last season.
However, Glock has insisted that he will honour his contract.
"I'm have with my team a long-term contract," the German told
Auto Motor und Sport
"I do not count among those who stick their heads in the sand or simply run away just because it got tough."
Even so, Glock could not resist naming Ferrari and Mercedes GP as his 'dream' drives in Formula One.
"Ferrari, now that would be something," he added. "Or, of course Mercedes. As a German, it would be a thing to drive for a team with that name."
