German looking for another points finish in Valencia

Timo Glock is hoping to carry forward Toyota's good form and score another strong result in this weekend's European Grand Prix in Valencia. The German driver secured his best result to date - and equalled his team's - in taking second place in the Hungarian Grand Prix at the start of August. Glock's podium finish took him up to 11th in the Drivers' Championship and also boosted Toyota's bid to beat rivals Renault and Red Bull to fourth place in the constructors' race. Speaking ahead of this weekend's European Grand Prix in Valencia, Glock said his result in Budapest was made all the sweeter given the effort the team has been making. "I'm still smiling after Hungary. That was an incredible result and a fantastic feeling; I hope it will be the first of many podiums in Formula One," he said. "The important thing was that we showed just how competitive we are at the moment and moved further ahead in fourth place in the Constructors' Championship. "There is a great atmosphere in the team and we are all working hard together to move forward, which is why it was so satisfying to get on the podium in Hungary." Glock also believes his experience of learning new street circuits will also stand him in good stead when Formula One makes its first visit to the Spanish city. "Valencia is a new race and we must start again," he added. "I did plenty of street races when I was racing in Champ Cars and in that season almost all the tracks were new to me so I have learnt to adapt quickly. "It looks like an interesting circuit and it's quite long so it should be a good show. "We will have plenty of work to do on Friday to adjust the car to the track but we are in good form at the moment so I am optimistic for this weekend."
