Georgie Thompson is back at Sky HQ and preparing for a not-to-be-missed edition of The F1 Show on Friday night...
So we're two races in and so far one win for McLaren, one for Ferrari (who'd have thought) and zero, zip, none for pre-season out-and-out favourites Red Bull or two-time World Champion Sebastian Vettel. Who said Formula 1 was predictable? What a difference a winter break makes! This weekend is a Grand Prix-free one, a chance for teams to go back to base, take stock of events in Australia and Malaysia and work out where to go from here. For Ted and I it's also a chance to go back to base, take stock of events in Australia and Malaysia and work out how to present what we have learnt to you using our studio toys. So tonight we'll break down what's happened so far in what's already shaping up to be a fascinating season. There's the surprise pace of the Sauber to acknowledge, the design of the Mercedes to explore and the return of Kimi to chat about. Oh and of course there's the small matter of Vettel and Red Bull yet to achieve pole or a race win to discuss lest we forget. Good job Christian Horner is in the studio with me tonight... Johnny Herbert is also stopping by. A race steward for the opening flyaways, we'll ask him for his perspective on the season's start. And...there's a perhaps slightly unexpected appearance from two Reds on a 'red' win at Sepang. I'm being cryptic but it's my way of making you watch. See you tonight! GT x The F1 Show, 8pm, Friday, on Sky Sports F1 HD. And replayed at 12pm, 2pm and 6pm on Saturday. Click here to find out more.
