League One side to beat Imps to star
Lincoln manager Peter Jackson has conceded he is unlikely to sign Luton midfielder Lewis Emanuel.
Jackson confirmed he had made a bid to the Hatters' administrators on Monday but the Imps' boss has revealed that the League Two strugglers have failed to beat off tough competition to sign the 24-year-old.
"After talking to his representative it appears that Lewis is all set to secure a move to a top League One side," Jackson told the club's official website.
"It's disappointing to miss out on him as he's an excellent player but the fact that we made a bid for him shows the calibre of players we're trying to attract to the club."
