Creighton on comeback trail

Image: Creighton: Made a quick recovery

Oxford's Mark Creighton will appear for the club's reserves on Wednesday night following a toe injury.

The influential centre-back fractured and dislocated a toe in the 1-1 draw at Cheltenham towards the end of September and was supposed to be sidelined for a month to allow the bone to heal. But, having been an unused substitute versus Aldershot on Saturday, Creighton will make his competitive comeback against Colchester as the U's look to maintain their place at the top of the Combination East Division. Rhys Day will also get a run-out for Oxford as he continues his recovery from a lengthy absence with a knee injury.
