Pook ready to fight for place

Returning midfielder Michael Pook knows he faces a battle to reclaim his place in the Cheltenham starting line-up.

Pook returned from a calf injury as a late substitute in the Robins' FA Cup defeat to Southampton and, with his side unbeaten in five league games, knows it will take time to break back into Mark Yates' XI. "The lads have been playing brilliantly so I knew it wasn't going to be a case of going straight back into the team," he told the Gloucestershire Echo. "It was nice to get a taster at Southampton after a few weeks out and hopefully I can get a few more now. "We could have done better and stopped them scoring such easy goals. That was the biggest disappointment in the dressing room."
