Yeovil Town goalkeeping coach Ben Roberts has left the club to fulfil a similar role at Charlton Athletic.

The 35-year-old, who joined the Glovers in the summer of 2009, combined his coaching duties with the role of chief scout. He also made a first-team appearance for Town coming on as a half-time substitute for the injured Stephen Henderson in the 3-3 home draw with Swindon in October when he conceded two late goals. Roberts will be replaced in his role at Huish Park by Jon Sheffield. Sheffield, 41, played 23 times between the posts for the Glovers between 2001 and 2004. Elsewhere, Yeovil's game at Sheffield Wednesday, which was due to take place on December 28 but was postponed due to the wintry weather, has been rearranged for Tuesday January 25, 2011 with a 7.45pm kick-off.
