Bees chief lands midfielder

Image: Fraser: Barnet move

Barnet caretaker boss Paul Fairclough has snapped up former Port Vale and Brighton midfielder Tommy Fraser.

The League Two strugglers have moved to secure the services of the 23-year-old as Fairclough seeks to boost their survival bid. Fraser was Micky Adams' first signing as Vale boss and the former Brighton player was soon named club captain before going on to make 63 appearances for the Valiants. But a lack of first-team opportunities under new boss Jim Gannon led to Fraser requesting to leave, a wish the club granted by terminating his deal this week. The Bees have been busy this January, with Wolves defender John Dunleavy arriving at Underhill Stadium on a short-term loan and goalkeeper Liam O'Brien also joining the club.
