Cedric Evina has revealed that personal reasons were behind his decision to quit Oldham.
The 19-year-old defender has rejected two offers to stay at Boundary Park and wants to move closer to London or back to his native France. Evina initially joined the Latics on loan from Arsenal last October and signed a short-term deal after he was released earlier this year. He told the Oldham Chronicle: "It was a difficult decision to make and not one I made overnight. I gave it a lot of thought. "I come from a big family and they have always been around me. And without them it has been hard and there have been times when I have been lonely. "Manchester is a long way from home and I decided I wanted to be closer to my family."
