Engelhardt lands Posh trial

Former Germany international Marco Engelhardt is on trial at Championship newcomers Peterborough.
The 30-year-old defender, capped three times by his country, featured for Posh in their pre-season win at Gillingham on Saturday. "He did fine at left-back and can also play in midfield," said Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson. "It was difficult for him because it wasn't one of our better performances. "Left-back is a problem for us as Grant Basey is out injured and currently we've only got young Nathan Ralph and Scott Griffiths." Meanwhile, Junior Konadu and Danny Uchechi have left the club after failing to impress during their trial spells.
