Duo back with parent clubs

Oldham Athletic loan duo Nathan Clarke and Andreas Mancini have returned to their parent clubs after their deals expired.

Huddersfield defender Clarke has made 19 appearances since joining Paul Dickov's men in the opening weeks of the season and Latics are currently in talks with their League One counterparts to bring the 28-year-old back to the north west. By contrast, Manchester City midfielder Mancini made a solitary substitute appearance in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy victory over Crewe during his two-month stay and Oldham will not be pursuing a recall. Meanwhile, Latics' trip to Stevenage, scheduled for Saturday, January 28, has been postponed after Boro reached the fourth round of the FA Cup courtesy of a surprise victory over Reading at the weekend.
