Naylor: I can inspire Millers

Veteran defender Richard Naylor is relishing his role off the field as much as on it at Rotherham.

The 34-year-old was brought in on a short-term deal until the end of the season a fortnight ago following his release from Championship side Doncaster. Although he has been on the substitutes' bench for the first two games since his arrival - both home defeats - the former Leeds and Ipswich centre-half is aware he has a job to do in the dressing room. "That's obviously one of the reasons why the gaffer has brought me here," Naylor said. "He obviously thinks it's something that's lacking and I'll be talking a lot in the dressing room. "That's the way I have gone about my business since I have been a senior player and I will continue to do that." Manager Andy Scott added: "Bringing him in is a big plus. His demeanour around the place is great and he has quiet words with people."
