Jombati: Robins have quality

Sido Jombati is not surprised by Cheltenham's rise to within touching distance of automatic promotion from League Two.

The defender has been a mainstay in a Robins side that has defied many pre-season predictions of doom and gloom at Whaddon Road to sit fourth in the table with 10 games of the term remaining. Many have been taken aback by the Gloucestershire outfit's impressive showing but not Jombati, who believes the strength in depth at the club always stood Cheltenham in good stead for a promotion challenge. "At the start of the season when I was asked the question by the press where I thought we could get to I'd told them we'd be at least in the play-offs and pushing for promotion," he said. "You can see on the training ground the quality we have in the team. We have players like Danny Andrew, who is a good player but can't get in at the moment. And then we have players who have played at a very good level like Marlon Pack or Luke Summerfield. "We have three very good strikers and the manager sometimes does not know which one he wants to play. We have a really, really good squad and that is why I thought we would be up where we are."
