Mackreth moots Macc comeback

New arrival Jack Mackreth is confident Macclesfield can secure an instant return to the Football League next season.

The 20-year-old moves to the Moss Rose from Barrow, where he scored five goals in 44 Blue Square Bet Premier appearances last season. "I know there are some good players here who have been playing in League Two this season," Mackreth told the Silkmen's official website. "That gives us a good chance to be up there competing with the Luton's and Mansfield's of the division." Manager Steve King is delighted to have secured his first signing since being appointed as Brian Horton's successor earlier this month. King said: "He's just the sort of player I'm looking to sign. He's got a bit of pace, he's skilful, can play football and has been attracting attention from other clubs after a good season with Barrow."
